I really enjoy creating my own textiles and playing with embellishment and fabric manipulation. For my wool coat I decided that I wanted to experiment with needle-felting on flat surfaces, something that I'd never done before. I placed pieces of wool as I went and let it come to me as I filled the space. I wanted the shapes to mimic brushstrokes to give a soft yet bold feeling of an abstract painting.
